This tape uses a transparent cellulose or cellophane backing instead of conventional plastic clear tape. The film has a slightly firm feel, so it lies neatly across carton flaps without hiding printed graphics, shipping marks, labels, or natural paper texture. It is not kraft paper tape, colored packaging tape, double sided tape, or office stationery tape. It is made for light-to-medium paper-based packaging where the seal should stay clear, tidy, and practical.

The adhesive choice depends on carton surface and packing conditions. Natural rubber adhesive gives quicker initial tack on kraft carton and recycled corrugated carton, especially on rough, fibrous, or recycled paper surfaces. Water-based acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is suitable when low odor, stable coating, and a cleaner transparent look are required. In reference testing, the tape can be matched around 7.5-10 N/25mm 180-degree peel strength and >=24 h holding power, but actual carton testing is still necessary because paper dust, ink coverage, humidity, packed weight, and sealing pressure can affect flap holding.

Regular formats include 48mm and 50mm widths, with 50m, 66m, and 100m roll lengths for different packing speeds. Roll quality is controlled through flat winding, smooth release, stable unwind, and clean slit edges, helping operators tear or cut the tape without rough edges, curled ends, or crooked sealing lines. A 3 inch paper core is suitable for common manual and semi-manual packing stations.
